Allright, I know some of you may think that I have a one track mind, Italian, Barolo, Barolo, Barolo… I know there is more to life than Barolo, but I can’t figure out for the life of me why all the great wines start with a B? Bordeaux, Burgundy and of course Brunello di Montalcino!!! With everyone focused on the new release from Montalcino, which is outstanding we just hosted a 2006 Brunello di Montalcino tasting and discovered that these wines are among the best in terms of quality that have come from this area in recent history. But lets now forget about the 2001 vintage wines which was also legendary in Montalcino and is just now starting to get close to maturity. Both of these wines are priced less than the current release!
