How Buy Italian Red Wines was started
The idea of the Buy Italian Red Wines website was conceived after a holiday to the beautiful countryside of Tuscany. To be more precise, the town we were staying in – Montepulciano had the biggest influence on my decision. This ancient hillside town, located in the southeast of Tuscany, has to be one of the most attractive towns you could wish to visit. It has an abundance of wine shops and cellars selling a broad range of delicious vintages. The famous locally produced Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the top wines that you must try, my favorite coming from the Poggio Alla Sala winery.
You can start tasting the wines as soon as you pass through the 14th century walls at the entrance to the town and could continue doing so until you reached the top. Doing this is not advisable as you would be asking for a real headache. Take it slowly and be selective with your tasting – there are lots of other beautiful gift shops you will want to explore, many selling olive oils, salami and handicrafts.
