Judit & Corina from winedinedaily.com taste Castiglion del Bosco BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 2004 & 2006 We dedicated a wine to Salvatore Ferragamo and to Sophia Loren who were icons of fashion. Castiglion del Bosco most representative wine is an example of the Sangiovese grape’s perfect expression of the territory of Montalcino. Beautiful ruby red color with garnet overtones, and on the nose is broad and determined with typical varietal aromas. Massimo Ferragamo purchased the Estate and began the extensive restoration. Today, Castiglion del Bosco wines are consistently recognized for their excellence. The vineyards of the Val d’Orcia, including Castiglion del Bosco’s own, produce the most coveted Italian wines, Brunello di Montalcino and are located about 75 miles south of Florence in Tuscany.
