SoGood.TV: Italian Rice Balls (Arancini) with Alicante Rose Wine
sogood.tv This is the sequel to Lemon Risotto Heather made risotto and pork chops yesterday, and has some left over, so today she makes “the greatest leftover ever,” Arancini, which are quick fried riceballs with a crunch on the outside and creamy risotto and bits of pork within. She pairs the dish with an affordable but delicious Spanish Alicante Rose wine. A wonderful match! Update 8/16/10 Heather would like to thank all the terrific subscribers, blogs and twitterers that helped bring an audience to this video, which was a finalist in the food Network YouTube Challenge!

How much of a difference is there if you use? olive oil instead?
@VehementiNacon? olive oil smokes.
I like that you paired an? inexpensive wine to go with leftovers, makes complete sense. I bet a Sauvignon Blanc would also work nicely with the creaminess and lemon flavor. If a little black pepper was sprinkled into the mix then a Syrah would go really well, too. Not sure if those wines come in a box, but I’m sure decent inexpensive ones can be found.
how old are? you?
had some of these at taylor street fest the other night, there’s werent very good. cassanos has the best arancini?
